SiteTell ("we", "us") is a product of Rally Digital. This policy explains what we collect when you use SiteTell to scan a website, and how that data is handled.
Scanning a site and viewing its report does not require an account, an email, or any personal information — you submit a URL, and we crawl and score the pages of that site. We store the URL, the pages found, and the scan results (score, grade, and the specific flagged text and rules) so we can show you a report, generate a shareable results link, and let you see how a site's score has changed since a previous scan.
Joining the waitlist on a report page is optional and separate from viewing the report itself. If you join, we collect your email address so we can notify you when fix suggestions are ready — nothing else is required, and we don't use it for anything beyond that.
If you purchase a full unlock, we collect the minimum needed to process payment and deliver access — your email address and payment details, the latter handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers.
We don't sell scanned content or personal data to third parties, and we don't use scanned site content to train any AI model.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic to this site (e.g. which pages are visited). This doesn't identify you personally.
Scan and report data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest — you submitted the URL and requested the scan, and we process it to generate and show you the report. Joining the waitlist is processed on the basis of consent — you choose to give us your email, and can withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to delete it (see Your rights, below).
If data protection law where you live gives you rights over your data (for example, under the GDPR), you can ask us to: give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, receive it in a portable format, or object to our processing of it. Email george@getsitetell.com and we'll act on it — most of these requests are quick given how little we store in the first place. If you're in the EU or UK and not satisfied with our response, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Scan and report data, and waitlist signups, are kept indefinitely today — there's no automatic deletion after a fixed period. Deletion happens on request (see Your rights, above), not on a timer. We'll update this section if that changes.
The infrastructure we run on (database hosting, analytics, and email delivery) may process data outside your own country, including outside the EU/UK. Where that happens, our providers are responsible for their own compliant transfer mechanisms.
